In the title compound, C(2)H(5)N(3)O(3), the hydroxamic group adopts an anti orientation with respect to the hydrazide group. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected by N-Hâ¯O and O-Hâ¯N hydrogen bonds into zigzag chains along the c axis.
