Significance
This study revealed for the first time the ability of PMOs to elevate ICD levels and activate DCs in vitro. The results explained the immunomodulatory function of PMOs and demonstrated the synergistic effects of TRAIL and DOX in triple-negative breast cancer. In addition, immunomodulatory effects of the drug delivery vectors constructed in this study were verified in vivo.
